Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend
Sara Hazel Sullivan Alexander, 95, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at home with her family by her side. She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where she played the piano for over 60 years. Hazel was a lifetime member of the Georgia P.T.A. where she served as State Vice-President.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Sullivan and Maggie Bowers Sullivan, and her husband, Daniel Archie Alexander.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
Surviving are two daughters, Vicki Alexander, of Savannah, and Georiga Lee (Ken), of Rincon. Also surviving are two sisters, Mary S. Hargroves (Pete), and Dottye S. Hannan, (Jim), of Montgomery, AL, one brother, Bill Sullivan, Sr., two granddaughters, Alexis McIlrath (Brian), and Heather Bagby (Justin), and four great-grandchildren, Drew, Patrick, A.J., Lane, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 13, 2015 at Harden’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Toombs County, GA.
Remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
